Nordic Cooperation
Cooperation between the Nordic countries – national environmental management standards.
In their respective countries, the organisations Swedish Environmental Base, EcoCompass in Finland and Eco-Lighthouse in Norway, manage and develop national environmental management standards. These standards are based on the founding principles of international environmental management standards ISO 14001 and EMAS. Nevertheless, EcoCompass and its sister organisations in Nordic Countries are specifically designed for small and medium sized organisations and events.
Throughout the last 10 years our organisations have kept in touch and we have also periodically cooperated on various projects. The three Nordic organisations share common interests on a Nordic level, cooperate in projects and share information and experiences in order to further develop our systems.
